I play D&D with friends on Friday nights, and this is our current party. I play the halfling ranger, Poke. I am pretty OP and having fun mowing down ice monsters.
C2E2 RECAP
Here are the various commissions that I did at the show. I’m settling into my baseball niche and I am loving it! The Colorado Coyote piece was hard to let go.
My wonderful booth babe (Laura) with my new baseball card display. I don’t know what it is but people are always reticent to take a free card while passing, but if told to take one, 90% of people excitedly took one.
How would you improve the display to encourage people to take a card for free?
I Signed my first baseball.
After the show, we went to a cool Korean BBQ called Chicago Kalbi. The restaurant was decorated with tons of signed baseball paraphernalia.
COLORING
I am still coloring Jake Parker’s Robots book. Here is a page that I am happy with, and I am going to be posting process videos to my Patreon soon.
CYBER LEAGUE BASEBALL
Since my last newsletter, two episodes have been added to Webtoon! Read the whole comic here and standby for part 4 next Thursday.
FCBD
Tomorrow is Free Comic Book Day (FCBD). Visit your local comic book shop for free comics and a chance to meet some of your local creators. I will be at Infinite Realities in Tucker, GA. I will be doing free sketches for kids, giving away baseball cards, selling my comics, and taking a few commissions.
Upcoming CONS:
May 24-27: MomoCon Atlanta, GA
June 14-16: HeroesCon Charlotte, NC
July 12-14: Florida SuperCon Miami Beach, FL
Aug 29-Sept 2: DragonCon Atlanta, GA
PRESHOW COMMISSIONS
I am taking pre-show commissions for all these shows. I already have 3 for HeroesCon so that list is likely to fill up fast. Make sure you email me with your request.
WATCH: 3000 Years of Longing
From the mind of George Miller, this is a fantastical trip following the long life of a Djjin and his many adventures. The non-linear storytelling is fantastic and the whimsy of the whole movie is enthralling. It is rated R for language and extensive nudity, but for my part, it wasn’t as erotic as it felt classical, like a Renaissance painting or Greek statue.
LISTEN: AJR
AJR (The initials of brothers Adam, Jack, and Ryan Met) is pure angst. I love working while listening to these guys wax poetic. My favorite current tracks are Maybe Man, World’s Smallest Violin, and Sober Up.
READ: Headlopper
Andrew MacLean is a phenomenal artist and storyteller. This series feels like a Saturday morning cartoon about a berserker that runs around decapitating monsters. Totally my jam. It also has the feel of a stage show with its unique characters and wonderful designs.
PLAY: Lego- Lord of the Rings
Lego Star Wars was the only video game I played as a kid and it was pretty formative. I always enjoy the humor in these games, and the puzzles are super fun. My wife and I are slowly working our way through the Lord of the Rings now.
Welp, here is the trailer for Mufasa, my thoughts are on Patreon.

Love the signed baseball, Anderson! Great way to advertise!
As it turns out, I do have an idea for the display: turn it into a vote. Examples: “Take the card of the player you think would win in a fight.” “Take the card with the best character design.” “Take the card of the player you would most want to be.” “Take the player’s card who is most likely to sing in the shower.” You could even switch it up each time. Behind each stack, you could have a Winner!! graphic with the relevant player to show who won the vote. Now not only do they take a card, they have to compare.
